Mr. Muhammad Keshavarzzode, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Islamic Republic of Iran visited the Council of friendship societies. - When I was assigned as an ambassador, I came to Tashkent,- said the ambassador of Iran to the Republic of Uzbekistan – a music was heard on the radio. The music was very attractive and I asked: “What music is it?”. One of my companions said that it was the Uzbek national music. Then I thought about the people who had created such a wonderful music and living with them, I felt a wonderful feeling in my heart.
November 12, 2008 there was held scientific-practical seminar "Uzbekistan-Belgium Days" devoting to the 50th anniversary of Navoiy city by the Council of friendship societies and cultural-enlightening relations of Uzbekistan with foreign countries...
The Council of Friendship Societies has recently organized the visit of “Registon” music group, which was organized under the State Conservatorium of Uzbekistan, to the Baltic states Lithuania and Latvia with the help of “Uzbekistan-Latvia” friendship society. This visit was the result of relations between the Council and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia, “Nur” uzbek society and “Uzbek National-cultural Center” in Lithuania. The delegation-uzbek artists visited to Villainous and Vasaginas of Lithuania, “Valda Palace, the Gallery of “Nellia” in Riga and participated in the “Rudenines” Festival of International Cultural Centers.
The meeting about the lecture of the results of 2007 year of the President I. Karimov and the tasks of the Council of Friendship Societies and the department of the region and also the account of the activity of the Societies was held in the building of the Council of Friendship Societies and Cultural-Enlightening Relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan on February 26,2008. K. Kamilov, the general consultant of the President Devan, participated in this meeting.
The delegation of “China Friendship Association with Central Asian countries” is in Tashkent.
In the same year, on April 8, the delegation of 4 people under the leadership of Chjan Deguan, the chairman of this organization came to Tashkent. The delegation visited to our country for the 1st time on the basis of the agreement between “China Friendship Societies with foreign countries” ands the Council.
