On July 23, 2009 Guloro Shikhova visited the Council of friendship societies and cultural-enlightening relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan. The Council of friendship societies was introduced by Z.Abidov, the deputy President - the head of the Secretariat of the Council and K. Ishankhodjaev, the deputy head of the Secretariat.
On July 21, 2009 the delegation at the head of Mr.Simidzu Tokumatsu, the member of the friendship society “Japan-Russia” visited the Council of friendship societies and cultural-enlightening relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan. Academician S.Gulyamov, the President of the Council, Z.Abidov, the deputy President of the Council, K. Ishankhodjaev, the deputy head of the Secretariat, Sh.Khudaykulov, the head of the department of the international relations attended at the meeting.
On July 20, 2009 Leila Urmonova, the President of the Uzbek cultural centre in Lithuania and Stanislavas Ignatevas, the activist of this cultural centre visited the Council of friendship societies and cultural-enlightening relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan. The Council of friendship societies was introduced by Z.Abidov, the deputy President - the head of the Secretariat of the Council and K. Ishankhodjaev, the deputy head of the Secretariat.
Last autumn the Association of the national cultural centre of Latvia united about 20 nations: Russians, Ukrainians, Byelorussians, Moldavians, Lithuanians, Estonians, Jews, Tatars, Greeks, Hungarians, Arabs and others celebrated its 20 years old. In particular, the Uzbek people have been fulfilling successfully their own social activities by the name of the Uzbek cultural centre of Latvia since 16 years, more that 300 Uzbek families who have been living in the Baltic state since 10 years, revere and respect the Uzbek national customs, traditions, culture and language.
The meeting was held in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. There was discussed the role of the Council of Friendship Societies and cultural-enlightening relations of Uzbekistan with foreign countries in the development of inter-parliamentary relations. It was organized by the Committee of the inter-national and inter-parliamentary relations of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
