The Representative office of the UNO on the question of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have recently opened in Uzbekistan, i.e. in 1993, but during this period the great work in the different spheres of the life of all the regions of the country was done.
On 23 September the International Cuisine Festival “Tasanno-2009” dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 2200 anniversary of Tashkent was held at Hotel “Poytaht” by the Council of friendship societies and cultural-enlightening relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan.
The perspective of the opening of the Friendship Society “Greece-Uzbekistan” in Athens was discussed in the meeting which was organized in the Council of Friendship Societies and Cultural-Enlightening relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan in the co-operation with the Society of Greece culture. Also the Society of the veterans of Greece participated in it.
«Fukushima - Uzbekistan» 30 years of fruitful collaboration
The meeting dedicated to the discussion of the organization of the celebration of the 30-th anniversary of «Fukushima - Uzbekistan» Association was held in the Council of Friendship Societies and Cultural-Enlightening relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan.
Academician Mr. Saidakhror Gulyamov, the Chairman of the Council of Friendship Societies and Cultural-Enlightening relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan and also Mr. Zakir Abidov, the Deputy Chairman of the Council participated in the meeting. The Japanese side was represented by Mr. Toshio Shishido, the Executive Director of the «Fukushima - Uzbekistan» Association.
The scientific-practical conference entitled “The role of Tashkent in strengthening of international relations and development of cultural-enlightening connections with foreign countries” dedicated to the 2200-th anniversary of the capital of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent. It was organized by the Council of Friendship societies and cultural-enlightening relations with foreign countries of Uzbekistan.
